has anyone ever heard a 15" L5 in a sealed and a ported box ?I have 2 L5's and I already built a ported box for one of them I was just wondering if I sealed the other one would that give me ok SQ because I would lke a little of both SPL and SQ or should I just sell it and buy a new sub built for SQ?

if you want SQ those subs are not going to be a top contender in 99 out of 100 people's personel opinion. If SQ is what you are after a sq sub would be a better route for you to take. Also running a ported enclosure without a use of a subsonic filter can damage your sub, and with sealed you dont need to run a subsonic. You would be canceling out any music below the tuning of your box that the sealed sub would be more then capable of playing.

an L5 sounds like azz no matter what you do with it, but don't bother with sealed.
that sub's Qts makes it ideal in a ported enclosure.. doesn't work as well sealed.
