Mitchell, I wasn't lying, I was agreeing with him. But what's it matter where I live in coordination with Steubenville?

Is there something I can help you with? You're the guy looking at 10 or 12 inch Type-R's right?

As far as my complaints about you spamming that thread earlier, it wasn't because it was YOU or anything in particular, just some people get VERY impatient. On here, most likely all questions get answered, but it may take more than 5 or even 10 minutes. And generally when people see the same message plastered all over the other forums, they tend to get annoyed (I do sometimes).

No offense I hope, just thought I'd mention this in passing, peace.

Bryan stated that I'm not too far from Steubenville.

I said "No I'm not Why" in a response as to mean, that No, I am NOT far from Steubenville, not meaning to say No, I AM far from steubenville.

Hope this clears it up...

Well obviously you live in Steubenville.

Honestly, the Type-R is a good woofer. Good SQ/SPL for the money. I'd also suggest a pair of Cerwin Vega V-Max's as well.

They SQ isn't AS good, but the SPL is greater, but still, the sound they put out is nice.

Sorry about my joking around. I really am harmless.

Well...I've been around here now for about a year, I read, I listen, I question and so on.

My Dad also knows quite a bit about audio. (Well a lot).

I ask him a lot of questions pertaining to audio and so on.

Basically though as far as 10" vs. 12", 12's will get louder but be slightly (hardly noticable) less accurate than 10" subs. (depending on brand and quality of course).

What is your application?

Are you sure you want R's or are you looking for SQL (sound quality level) which is having a sub that plays very loud and with a lot of sound quality, SQ (sound quality) which is a sub that plays at moderate loudness with very good sound quality, or SPL (Sound pressure level (loudness)) which is a sub that plays very loud and generally doesn't carry the sound quality of that of a SQL/SQ driver.

Do you only have room for 2 12's or 2 10's?

Well loud and sounds good...

I'll give some options...of loud with good SQ that aren't overpriced.

RE Audio SE
Cerwin Vega V-Max
Alpine Type-R (I hear they're pretty loud)
Ascendant Audio Assassins (I guarantee they're loud)

Now, if you're willing to put out some cash...

JL Audio W7
JL Audio W6v2
Treo TSi or TSx
Digital Designs 2000 or 2500 series
RE Audio SX or XXX

I'm kind of out of ideas. Anyone else have some more?

Basically though, try staying away from places like Circuit City, Best Buy, and so on.

They sell SOME OK gear, but a lot of it is junk to be honest. (Overpriced junk).

In fact, CC dropped the Alpine line this year and picked up Jensen if that tells you anything...
