im expecting to be able to hit even more with my pyramid 6.5's cuz i did some quick testing with them in the same abc box firing up because they were to small for the mounting holes to use screws so i let them be held in by gravity and made sure the screw holes didnt show daylight and turned my amp bass boos all the way down and was running only 140 rms and they seemed louder than my tangbands did at 280 rms with no bass boost but I only did 5 mins of testing....im going to make a wood plate to make the pyramids fit and do more testing soon....and the beauty is these are 10 dollar midbasses on the net but i got four new ones for 10.00 total so if i wanted i could compete in the 160 square inch class in slap ...id turn some heads for sure evene if all i hit was 136 db but i hope to do more

Audiobahn A8000T.

800W RMS X 1 @ 2 ohms. (Bench tested by Isaac).

Although...supposedly they can handle double that input in a proper enclosure...We'll see though.

Tyler, how do you figure that they can handle double the power given the proper enclosure. I wasnt aware that the geometry of the box manipulated the atomic characteristics of the voice coil. Power Handling as Im sure you know is a thermal rating.

I hit 164.7 With an Older Cadence 1200watt amp and 2 12' Kicker L7's non slot or ported box. Im new to the system scene anyways... I bought by subs for 300 came with grills and box and borrowed my boys amp to see what dB's i could get. We had em hooked up in a Hyundai Xg300. Hyundai's = Shitty system cars..

164.7 2 12L7s sealed 1200watts? ?? ? ??

The mic all depends here! Also the postition of the mic. The cheaper mics, read a louder db.
160db is super hard to hit!

Chauncey what mic did u get it measured with?
You should really go to the comps, with a system like that. But I bet you dont turn it up much. lol

I find my self not using the HU vol too much, lol

Mike D, I got the information from "HexiBase" from Team Toxic Bass.

"In an enclosure with properly aligned acoustic impedance, both Assassins and Arsenals are more than capable of accepting twice their rated RMS in continuous input."

That's exactly what he said.

B i almost have enough money saved up for 4 15's TSXs! ill probably just power them with my hifonics amp for awhile though which will only give them around 400 per sub. eventually want to put around 700-800 per sub.

from my experience. dont use any bass boost. its bound to clp the signal. just set ur gains correctly and that should be loud enough. ohnce u try to make more power than you really can, signal gets cliped and in the end you will be LESS loud because your speakers are blown. i learned the hard way....

I use a little bass boost. but i will keep u in mind. If i had a suv, I would have 4 15s, lol.
My Treos are extremely loud with about 600rms a peice. I couldnt ask for too much more. On my estimate I was shooting low on the numbers, lol
But man, I wanna get this thing measured on a TL. It hits soo loooww.

Chad do you want it louder or sound better?
Both are good.

Chad, you may want to consider the Arsenal line...If these Assassins are as loud as they are, well, you won't be disappointed with Arsenals...

yeah i was thinking about the arsenals. but i was thinking the arsenals are same as the avalanches aren't they? and i remember reading from someone's post that the avalanches at higher frequencies don't perform that well. even though i want loud i still want something with good bass to mid transition. the type xs does it really well but it just don't get loud enough for me.

loud means something different to every person. my loud may be 4X someone elses loud. And I may want Louder. SO it all depends on the ear.

TL measurements should be the only measurements that count! cause its most accurate.

chad, look into stereo integrity SI mags. they are suposed to have it all. they go really low (on the site they say they like to play 8hz dinosaur stomps) and go all the way up to the beat of a drum. thats what im prospecting right now. 2 SI mag 15s and 2 1000/1s. price is around 400 a sub for the 15 i think. you must call or e-mail them for a price.

Matt, I have no line driver! my hu rms is only 1.5v, It goes to a EQ, then that goes to the xover, then amps. but like I said I unhooked the xover 4 now. its a old mtx xover, I think its just poor quality period!! Cause my SQ increased significantly compared to any setting on the xover. I really need a line driver! Still waiting, im looking @ Memphis.

Celica150, when I got to ATL superbowl weekend, ill have some #s on the new TL meter!
