I currenty have a MTX 942 and 2 kicker cvr's, earlier my amp would get REALLY hot but everything would still work fine, i've fixed the overheating thing and it worked fine for about a month, now at higher volumes the subs will just stop, then come again, then stop again (took it to a shop they recommended alt upgrade/battery uprgrade/ capactitor) are these good solutions or is there somthing else wrong

allright thx glass, im not THAT into car audio to get a HO alt upgrade, maybe a batt. uprgrade. But just to clear things up when the bass does cut out the protection light on the amp comes on, so is this a sign of a bad amp or is it just the case of weak charging

thx

It could be your impedance load on your amp is too load. Impedance = Ohms/Resistance.

What is the stability on your amp, and how do you have your subs wired to the amp?
