hey there are lot of brands but my doubt is about lanzar. They are good or bad cause some amps are "good Rms" but i don't know if they're reliable. If someone knows about lanzar vibe line be a guest

i got that document long time ago but the doubt is about questionable brands for example audiobahn has pretty good subs but others aren't that great. I'm talking are they bad because of the quality or is because you have better options to expend your money. Someone talk about lanzar

Lanzar Optidrive - Good amps, accurately rated, reliable, and built in America

Lanzar Vibe 1200D/1800D - Accurately rated, good budget sub amp

Lanzar Vibe/Viberant/Heritage multi-channels - Over-rated but fairly powerful for the cost.

FWIW - I currently own two Opti amps, and sold a 3rd about a year ago.

I've also owned, or extensively used 5 Vibe amps.

Optidrvie and Vibe are two entirely different products with different goals.
Opti's are a hard core hobbyist/competitition quality amp while the Vibe(etc.) stuff is more geared toward the average consumer looking for something to improve thier stock system.

IMO they both do a pretty good job.

Alright boys...i am in need of some serious help.

I am a stupid teenager lookin to make my side of Indiana bump a little bit by throwin a system in the trunk of my 1992 Plymouth Grand Voyager.

I am currently looking at a pair of JBL GTO1204D type subs, and not sure about what kind of amp yet. The RMS is 300, max wattage is 1200.
It does have a dual 4 OHms, but not sure what thats all about yet.

If you could, please let me know about any advice you could offer a teenage kid who cant legally drive yet ;-)

the 268 was benched at 923w bridged. Helluva deal for $88, would still be pretty good for twice that.

No, but I know what 900w can do, regardless of the name on the chassis.

I had a Lanzar Vibe248 with 2 Max15D both 2 ohm, the sq wasn't to bad, not the best, but it did get pretty loud, you could hear it 2 blocks away, for the low prices they're okay, i order a Vibe276 when i get it all put in, i'll have to post pics..Bump

It's a refurb, but audioblowouts deals directly with Lanzar so I would expect it to be agout as good as new. Quite a bit of power for $110. It would be great for a couple 500w dvc 4's.

I would never use a Lanzar amp on my W7.... i have heard a lanzar amp....i was very unimpressed....it might push 900 watts.....but it is some of the dirtiest power i have every heard. i would recommend saving your money and doing it right and not hurry with installing a system.....the more you wait and save the happier you will be!

anything from the viberant line would be considered by many a "crappy" amp, but that is considering they're expecting a 2000w amp for $180 (or $110 refurbished in this case).

Dirty power is a reference to thd and/or clipping. The 923w benchtest was at 1% THD which makes it as clean as any other bench test you've ever seen, which, FWIW, would include JL amps.

people is kind of dumb sometimes cuz how am i going to expect 2000w for 180 and all the other brands cost me at least 400$. That's stupid but if you think well for less money you can get more watts for example you spend 600$ on a JL 1000/1 but i can spend those 600$ and get 2 or 3 amps that can make the same thing or more so is a relation on money and quality, i think that 110 bucks for 900w is a pretty good deal but others prefer 600$ for 1000W from JL

Well...How does that Lanzar compair to my Zapco Reference amp? Zapco 1100.1
"Mono, 4 ohms: 1x800 Watts

Mono, 2 ohms: 1x1100 Watts

T.H.D. + Noise: <0.015% @ 4 ohms

S/N Ratio: >95dB

Slew Rate: >40V/uS

Damping Factor: >250 @ 4 ohms

Dimensions: 23"L x 7.5"W x 2"H"

i know there was a reason i spent the 600 bucks on this amp!! i looked for the slew rate for that lanzar amp and they didn't list it...i also noticed they didn't list the RMS power but the max power (Meaning a bolt of lighting has to hit it to put that out....and it only has a 60amp fuse!

JL 1000/1
" 1000/1
Rated Power: 1000 W RMS @ 1.5 ohm - 4 ohm (11V-14.5V)
THD at Rated Power: <0.05% @ 4 ohm
S/N Ratio: >95dB below rated power (A-weighted, 20 Hz - 20 kHz noise bandwidth)
Frequency Response: 5 Hz - 200 Hz (+0, -1dB)
Damping Factor: >500 @ 4 ohm / 50 Hz
Input Range: Switchable from 200mV-2V RMS to 800mV-8V RMS
Dimensions (L x W x H): 19.70 in. x 9.25 in. x 2.36 in.
500 mm x 235 mm x 60 mm"

HOW ABOUT THOSE APPLES!

Get off your high horse simon.

The only comparisons that stick out are that you paid 4x the price for a name, a little more power, and hopefully a LOT more longevity/durability. At that price you'd hope Zapco/JL would last a lifetime, but if the Lanzar gave up the ghost in a couple years you couldn't complain. THAT's the price difference - not much else.

Slew rate? If you're spending $600 on a sub amp because it lists an impressive slew rate you've got bigger problems.

only that Volfenhag isn't a very highly regarded brand, and I would be surprised if it actually produces it's rated RMS power (800x1)
