Watts quick question

ok... if i have two 600W 4ohms 10" subs that have an RMS of 200 and a peak of the 600, will a 400 watt 2 channel amp be perfect for these?? this is what i have heard. the amp says it does 100W x2 @4 ohms... does this mean each channel does that or is that overall?? please help asap 2 questions

what brand of subs and are they single voice coil or dual, also what amp?

you do not what that amp, if you want those subs, get the Alpine mrd-m605, subs will not work well, you would not even see 100w per sub, has to be ran stereo.

ty if he ran them the subs at 2 ohms he would be fine... cause it would be 200 watts to each sub.Upload

jake, that wiring configuration would only be to one channel so it would be 100w per sub still.

thought so... wasnt sure jake if you still were wanting me to wire it like that
but now i understand... you put the 2 4 ohms together and it make it to 2 ohms? and that makes it have 200 each...

not bridged on that amp, it is not stable for that.....

jake. that wiring picture shows how to make 2 SVC 4 ohm subs wire into a 2 ohm load. you could either wire that to one channel which would put out 200w( 100 to each sub) or you could wire it bridged and push appx 800 (400 to each sub) and fry the amp at the same time. the amp is to be bridged at 4 ohms, not 2 ohms.
