I have a 2004 oldsmobile alero. is it possible for me to put in a second alternator?

why not get a high out put. I don't know if you can mount two, but you could always get it rebuilt so its more powerful

yeah i dont think its possible but if you get a high output alternator then it should be enough. i think having two will put more strain on your timing belt or crankshaft, u may lose power

well i havent been able to find a high output one for it ive looked at various sites. How much more powerful would it be if i rebuilt it?

im not sure, you'd probably have to contact one of the bigger alternator companies. Someone should post a website for you. i think this one of the bigger ones. http://4alterstart.com/

yea it dosent have anything for oldsmobile ive heard that hte ones made for pontiacs will work. is this true?

I've heard that dual alts is completely possible, but it requires some mounting modifications.
