Hey guys I'm really new to this whole car audio stuff so can you help a newbie out ?

I'm planning on adding an amp and a sub in my car and was wondering if this combo would be fine.

- 2 Rockford Fosgate P310D2's
- DVC 2 ohms
- 400W RMS power
- 800W Peak power

powered by an: Alpine MRD-M605
- 400W RMS x 1 @ 2 ohms
- 250W RMS x 1 @ 4 ohms

Plus how should I wire it for best results if these work out ? Thanks.

if 2 subs u mean ??? then that amp is NOT enough

W RMS is the true no as peak/max is meaningless

just wire them in a series-parallel connection. that way it maintains the 2ohms.

So I'm guessing that amp isn't gonna do it, what kind of amp should I be looking for then ?

"planning on adding an amp and a sub" - lol , guess that means 1 sub

amp http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=14927

can work but i'd get a amp a bit more powerful

sorry I did mean two subs instead of one.

I was looking for another amp online and was wondering if this one will do?

- Alpine MRD-M1005
- 700 watts x 1 at 4 ohms
- 1000 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms

I was planning to wire them in a series/parallel connection so it would stay at 2 ohms. so would that amp work with the two subs ? -Thanks again.

that amp will b too strong for 1 sub

do buy a 4ohms dvc sub instead cause its easier/cheaoer to get an amp 4 it like kicker sx400

if u have not bought the sub as yet why not get an alpine 10" type R

& use this amp

I already bought the Two RF subs though, I'm just looking for the amp.

you said that the: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=14926
- Alpine MRD-M1005
- 700 watts x 1 at 4 ohms
- 1000 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms

is too strong for one sub, but I got two subs. Do you think it would be fine with Two subs?

-sorry for asking so much.

(2) 2ohms dvc subs can only be wired @ 1/2 ohm or 2ohms

if u r looking 4 a MONO amp , majority of them do either 600wrms or 1000wrms but i think that amp will bump them fine but u need to control your volume knob ...

that amp spec is actually

RMS Power (at 12V,20Hz-200Hz)
* Per channel into 2 ohms : 700W x 1
* Per channel into 4 ohms : 500W x 1

RMS Power (at 14.4V,20Hz-200Hz)
* Per channel into 2 ohms : 1000W x 1 (1% THD)
