A few questions about amp ratings (ohm load, etc)

I used to have a pair of MTX 12" subs being pushed by some RFa2 amp. The MTXs were before the Thunder series came out. I don't listen to rap music, and the MTX provided incredibly full bass and double bass for the music I listen to. It also did well with rap...but like I said.

This was several years ago, and I've since gotten rid of those. I'm wanting to start over again but I don't really remember any of this stuff.

I'm eyeballing a pair of Thunder5500 which are a 4ohm load 300w RMS. The amp I'm looking at is the Phoenix Gold Octane-R 5.0:1 which I'm now thinking would probably hurt the subs since it's only 300x1 @2ohm

What kind of amp should I use to push the MTXs? Would 150watts to a 300wattRMS sub even work right?

I think I bridged my last pair. Should I be doing that with these subs as well?

If I have two 4ohm subs, bridged would make it a 2ohm load, right?

Should I look for single or dual coil subs?

Excuse my ignorance please. Thanks for the help
