Can I save myself some $'s buy using decent quality component video cables between an Eclipse 8V hu and my amps? I am looking at using active xover (onboard hu) and I already have a number of good quality component cables laying around that I could use. I know that I can not use audio cables for component video cables because of attentuation differences and lack of shielding. However will it work the other way around vid cable for audio-between hu and amp?

After days of searching I found my own answer. This is for the next newb who searches for "video component cables used for car audio" You can definately use decent video cables for audio with no problem. Exactly the same only with more shielding added to the video cables. However you can not use audio cables for video- in most cases. I can't seem to find the links I saved to show this is true so take it for what it is.
