After a lot of help from the people on this forum the set up i bought was a:
kicker kx400.1 Alpine Type R 12" (only $250 on ebay)
Now I have one last question that has been bugging me. the Kicker amp is going to be pushing between 400-440rms to the 500rms sub.
Now will there be a huge differnence in sound quality and loudness if i were to get an amp that could push the full 500rms or more, or will there only be a small difference in sq and spl?
not sure about the loudness (wouldn't be much i don't think) but be careful when adjusting your gains. You don't want to clip your amp to make up for that extra wattage you would like to have. Once you start to clip your amp, bye bye sub!!
