i have a kole audio capacitor. i know kole audio is not the best name brand there is but i figure caps don't really matter. it was cheap so i bought it. i paid $70 bucks for a 2.5 farad. will i notice the difference if i got something more expensive and more popular brand?

You will not notice any difference with 2.5F. 50F or higher is another story.

you will notice a very large difference if the esr isn't relatively low. that's what determines how rapid the power release is for dynamic peaks. if it's not .00xx, you're wasting your money.
my cap has an esr capacitance of .00002

i would think there is a difference... i had 2 lightning audio subs in my car, and they were at about 300 watts, and they were pushing all they could (they are 750 watt speakers) and i got my rockford fosgate PUNCH speakers, and my amp is up ALL the way, and the dont distort at all... but then again, those are subs, not caps...
