How do you apply dynamat to your trunk

i found the source to the rattling sound. it's the device that closes the trunk. the part that clamps on to the little metal bar to keep the trunk closed. i don't know what you would call that. anyways, how can i apply dynamat to that part? the sound is making me very frustrated.

sometimes thoes latches are adjustable, see if you can move the latch or hook to make the trunk close tighter. that'll usually solve the problem. also, if there are any plascic panels around them, remove them if they can be and are rattling. you can't really dynamat thoes things though

I USE TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM ON MY ACCORD.. ALL I DID WAS WRAP A LIL DUCT TAPE AROUND THE METAL BAR AND IT KEPT THE LATCH FROM RATTLING ON THE BAR.. NO METAL TO METAL NO RATTLE..

good idea. gonna try that now. it seems a lot cheaper than buying dynamat. lol.
