I have a 94 Ford Ranger and a 1200 watt sony amp and a sony 1300 watt peak power 12" (only reason i went ithe sony cause its cheap on ebay and other sub and amp havent came yet...)with a panasonic CQ-C9901C cd player and if i turn it up the batt gauge moves and the headlights and dome lights flicker when the bass hits... so i was just wondering what would fix that???? and will that make my alternator go out?
That's a warning sign for inadequate power. You need to either keep the volume down, or install HO alternator. Don't ignore the warnings. Sooner or later, it's going to kill your battery and alternator.
