Ok I have run into a brick wall and have no ideas. Now I am thinking I made a mistake about this.
What I have 1x orion 2500d 2500w rms @ 1ohms 1x orion 8004 400w rms @ 4ohms 1x jvc deck 64w rms
Total of 2964w rms and will draw about 250amps
So what I am looking for is a 300amp alt for my 1997 sunfire 2.2L That will keep my amps at 13.8-14.4 volts. My problem is I can not find one over 200amps for my car.
Any suggestions as I am lost and loosing sleep over this.
Jeremy, get the largest size available for your car. If it's 200A then so be it. 200A x 13.5v = 2700w. That is still a lot of power. I doubt you'll be able to utilize all of it. Either you'll go deaf or break something in your car before reaching maximum. Email Nathan ask him for a quote.

Ya that will do 2700w but then my car will use about 50-80 that is why I would really like to get a 300amp alt. I dont care if it is custom and have to pay more. or add a second one dedicated for my system. I can remove the air conditioner pumb and mount it there. but then comes the head ace of a belt.
