I have two Pioneer 3000SPL's. They handle 2000watts rms. Right now they are running via a Kicker 800.2 in bridged mode. So 800 watts rms.

I found a good deal on an a kicker 800.4, but it can only go down to 400watts x 2.

Would there be anyway to wire this so I could get 1600 watts rms to my two subs?

Also, the subs are dual 4ohms.

Would just keeping them running bridged on one amp....and then adding the speaker wire from the two channel amp work?

the 800 wrms is the max on the 800.4 so no for 1600 wrms. as far as the wiring you will have to rewire the subs to match the amp to subs. it will be different. if your getting the 800watts out of your first amp then no need to change to an 800 watt amp.

wow, thats only 400w RMS per sub. so you must have your subs wired for a 4ohm load.

I say go out and look for a mono amp that can do 1500W RMS or more @ 1 ohm stable. wire your subs for a 1 ohm load and your all set.
