My friend is looking for a 1,500wrms amp to power four MTX subs that he has. He was just wondering what different amps at what prices are out there. I'm just looking for input, he's not yet sure on his budget...

my soundstream vga 1600.2 does 1600 watts at 4ohms bridged, and 1800 watts bridged at 2ohms (class ab).
the earthquale ph-d2 also does around 1400 @ 12.5 volts, and 1800 @ 14v.

I don't like used stuff, and I'm sure he doesn't either. And thanks mikechec9, I'll look into those.

i don't know what the ohm rating is on the subs but if you can take it down to 1 ohm you can get a HIFONICS BX1500D Class D amp for 229 brand new with warranty from http://stores.ebay.com/w-w-w-indoaudio-c-o-m

1ohm... Sorry. And we tend to shy away from the "bottom feeders" (aka, Hifonics, etc.)

And thanks Isaac.
