the Orion 2500d is a "mono" amp with two power leads and grounds as wells as two speaker positive connections and two negative connections (looks like two 1200d put in one chasis).

My questions is: to hook six DVC subs to the amp i run 3 to each side correct? (fairly certain but want second opinions...)

Wiring the VCs and subs (3 to a set of connections on the amp) in parellel should bring me down to about .70ohms...

-The manual says 2500w @ 1ohm RMS...read in a couple posts that it is stable down to .5 ohm for daily use
:::::::::::::::::
Rovin:
-went to site...nothing listed for six subs wired to 2500d.
-emailed them twice over last two weeks..no reply
-called and was told someone would call me back last Thursday
-which two subs are better?
-why not choose 8 or 10? because i have six.
-already have 4 installed...adding two more.
:::::::::::::::

Can anyone answer:
2500d Mono amp has a pair of speaker connections (two positive, and two negative), when wiring six DVC subs would it be correct to wire three to a connection in a parellel/parellel configuration (which would present about .7ohms)?

thanks

anyone have a mono amp with two sets of outs for subs?
(Wondering how you would even wire this amp if all you had was a single SVC sub...)

so your mono amp has two sets of outs going to your 8 subs?
If so: how did you wire the subs? four to a side?

Are these DVC subs?
If so: Did you do parallel and parallel or series and parallel?

No all parallel into 1 channel - Hence, (MONO)

Ohhh. Lost comprehension variable. Yes, I run 4 to each side and it comes out to 2 ohms because it is Internally bridged.

I really don't think it matters how you split the wiring for the two sets of terminals on the 2500D. It's not two seperate channels. It's simply two sets of terminals on one channel to make wiring a little easier. Anyway, I would wire three to each set.

I don't know about that amp being stable at 0.5 ohms for a daily driver. I doubt it. I could see burping it at 0.5 ohms, but I can't see running it below 1 ohm continuously. Just asking for a ruined amp, in my opinion.

doing 3 to a side i come up with:
DVCs in series and subs parrallel = just over 2.5ohm
or
DVCs in parrallel and subs in parrallel - almost .70 ohm...

any suggested wiring?
