Just got my amp and sub in the mail and realized i have a 10" box, not an 8"..sending the sub back but im wondering can i keep the amp? Its a JL audio E1200. here are the stats
Rated Power (mono):
120 W RMS x 1 @ 4 ohm (12.5V)
200 W RMS x 1 @ 2 ohm (12.5V)

So will that be ok or should i send it back and get something better? Also, what are some good quality 10"'s....Thanks!

What is your budget? 200w rms is not much for a sub.
The real question you need to ask yourself is, whether the amp can handle the ohms.

Well i can send the amp back and get $160 for it...so i could probably spend $200ish on a better amp. What do you think? Keep in mind I'm not looking for extreme bass AT ALL, just a little thump in my seat...
