I just got an amp for my components and was thinking of putting it under one of the front seats. what are the dangers of putting it there, if there are any? I know heat is a problem for the circitry, but how about fires ect.? any ideas on where i could put it instead?
thanks guys.

As long as it isnt gettting to hot and getting a fan wouldnt be a bad idea to stay safe but it should be okay unless the spcae under the seat is really TIGHT!

Well like most, run it in the trunk to be safe!

You may actually be better off with it under the seat instead of the trunk. The air inside the passenger space is typically cooler than the air in the trunk. Of course this is dependent on the seasons. As long as their is about 2 inches of air space arond the amp, you should be fine. It should also be noted that a shorter power run to the seat location is also an advantage.
