I have heard that both of these amps are under rated by their respectful manufacturers, but which one do u think will give out more wattage? I will be running the RE at 1 ohm, and i know the JL only goes down to 1.5 ohms correct?

The RE is supposed to be actually like 1400-1600W RMS. Not sure about the JL though...You MIGHT, want to wait til the RE 22.1 comes out!

Hrmmm. That JBL BP1200.1 won't have AS GOOD of SQ as the RE/JL amps would. But I'm 99% sure it puts out what it's rated as, but not MORE than that like the RE/JL amps do.

the JL amp is 1000 watts only.....has a regulated power supply!! the RE will have more wattage!! depends on what you want!! if you want Sound Quality....both amps are good....if you want SPL the RE is the best choice!!

Could someone please give me a link to a place where I can take a look at this RE 12.1 amp. I am intrigued. Does it have a regulated power supply like JL 1000/1?

what would be better to run 2 RE SEs a re12.1 or a kicker kx1200.1 and is it worth the extra 50 bucks for the re over the kicker?

I just got my JBL BP1200.1 back from repair..It was just a loose rca jack not to worry the amp is very reliable. But the test sheet shows 1400 watts.I am very proud of this amp and can't seem to let it go..The only reason I am not using it at the moment I am running a ported enclosure xxx 12 with an Arc audio 2500.The BP (powervalve series) Does not have a subsonic filter. If you are running a sealed enclosure don't pass up the oppertunity to purchase that amp.The sound quality is compatible with the JL.It is a highly recomended amp.

The JBL doesn't have the SQ/SPL that the RE OR the JL would, but the JBL is a good amp.
