Amp Cutting Out

Whats up? my amp plays fine for a while but when i turn it up on songs with some bass, it'll hit but it'll cut the end of the bass off. i shortend my ground but it still cuts out. what is this problem called. if it matters i have an pioneer 760 watt amp and a 1 fared lighting audio cap.

Help Please !!!!!

It sounds like you're driving your amp into protection mode. The amp does this so that it doesn't suffer a complete meltdown of its electrical components. Bottom line, you're trying to move too much current through the amp. Either you're using it below the lowest impedence it can handle, or you have the gains set too high for the volume you play your music at. Get a bigger, better made amp, or turn down the volume or gain.
