Torn between two amps

Silver Member Username: AcevolkovSpringfield, Missouri United Stated Post Number: 117 Registered: Jul-05 | i have an option to get one of two amps: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_2802.html# or http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3491.html it will be driving 1 12" MT. i need 1 ohm stable at cleanest output. any other amps is this price range that can outperform these amps, im open to sugggestions. i wanna try to stay away from ebay though. |

Post Number: 506 Registered: Jul-05 | Well Casey - usually u can get an idea of the product quality by price & if u look for that amt of similiar power in say a Kicker or Orion its $1200 & $700 online . Zapco might be twice that $ . Hifonics - i myself was gonna buy that same model of amp ,i ran a thread a few mths back on it & all the really good experienced guys like Glass/Isaac/Jonathan etc all advise NOT to do get that cause they that brand is overated & to spend the $ more wisely on a better/respected brand . I'm guessing u need at least 2000wrms @ 1ohm so 1 of the better brands @ a reasonable price that put out that would be Orion 2500D - 2500wrms @ 1 ohm . U will need a HO alt cause @ that amt of power ,it will drain alot of current .  |
