ok this is the deal...my friend has a rockford amp and he said when he turned it on it would hummmmmmmm...(a bass line) he has never had this problem before..he said hes had it for 2-3 years...plez help..i said i would help him find out y its humming!

Tell him to check the ground wire and connection. Might need to rewire that. If not, try a new pair of RCAs to see if that might be the problem. Just run a new pair straight to the connection wihout "hiding" them to see if that is the problem.
