I have a wakeboard boat with a stereo and two amps. One amp for the tower speakers and one for the in boat speakers. I want to be able to turn off either the tower or the boat speakers depending on what I am doing while riding in the boat. The Clarion CD/stereo has two pairs of outputs running to the two amps. Can anyone tell me the best wat to do this?

The amps should have whats called a "remote turn on" which is a thin wire that delivers very little current at 12 volts when the stereo is turned on. This tells the amp that it needs to turn itself on. This would be your best place to put a switch. You could use a switch on the power wires, but you'd need a much heavier duty switch. You can pick up a couple of switches at radio shack for 2 bucks apiece and then just find a clever place to mount them.

Or, simply pull the fuses on the amp you dont want turned on.
