Help.. connecting mp3 to amp.. no head unit

alhitchcock Unregistered guest	Posted on Monday, August 29, 2005 - 22:25 GMT I tried using my mp3 player to connect to amp via y connector. there is no sound. Do i have to have a certain rca voltage to work the amp?

alhitchcock Unregistered guest	Posted on Monday, August 29, 2005 - 23:24 GMT The remote is connected to the car. It only turns on when the key is on. I tried hooking up a small mp3 player to the amp and there is no sound. Is that because the voltage from the mp3 headphone jack is too low?

Does the cable just plug into the headphone output of your mp3 player and convert that to RCA cable (of which is hooked up to the amp)?
