I installed a road gear 250 watt amp hooked up to a RF punch he2. worked awesome for first 2 days. now, nothing. everytime i turn my radio on, the protect light on the amp illuminates. i checked fuses, wiring, and even let the amp cool for an hour, thinking it may have overheated. any suggestions on what to do?

Did you bring the amp cause it may be the problem or is it a 2 or mono channel amp? Check your ground wire as well.

How is the RF wired? Protect light is generally a sign of your amp being driven at to low a load.

the RF was wired 2 ohm. found out today that i fried some circuitry because the amp isnt 2 ohm stable. now it's a useful paper weight.so i went ahead and purchased a new 300 watt mono amp for the sub
