Title says it all. I'm on a tight budget though $200-250 eBay ok would prefer one with a subsonic filter

MTX 801D is 800WRMS @ 14.4V and I've read again and again that it's pretty underrated. For around $160 + shipping from eBay it seems like a solid choice.

hifonics brutus 1500d. around $200.
not the best amp in the world but it's cheap and puts out power. its rated for 1500 watts @ 1 ohm, but really its closer to 1Kw @ 1 ohm.
at 2 ohms its right about what you're after

Glass - if that 1500D = approx 1000wrms , curious to know what would you say that the 2005D(2,000wrms) actually puts out ?

probably about 1500 but I've only seen bench results on the 1500D first hand

If I put a 1.34 ohm load on the MTX 801d would that be bad? I don't think it's 1 ohm stable so it probably is so I was just asking.

It's 2 ohm stable.

I wouldn't drop it below 2 ohms. Even if it does work for awhile, it will probably run very hot.
