2ohms of load to 4????

can i put 2ohms of load on a 4ohms woofer...?? becuz i have amp that gives more power on 2ohms. someone i talked to said 'yes but it reduces the life of sub' i do not have toworry about that cuz i have 4 years of warranty on this soo how can i do it plz help me.. thnx for ur time.

Is your sub 4ohms DVC or SVC? If it's DVC, then wire the VCs in parallel, pos to pos and neg to neg. That'll give you 2ohms.
If your sub is SVC, then there's nothing you can do except get 2nd pair of SVC. Then those 2 in parallel will give you 2ohms.
Changing ohms does NOT reduce the life of your sub. However, your amp distorting/clipping will.
