i have decided to unhook the rear speakers and run my kenwood components off of my 201s. 50wx2 @4ohms. I was wondering if I ran the amp through the passive crossovers and not connecting it directly through the speakers. Also this is going to be a multiple amp set-up so I was also wondering if I needed a relay. All of this is off an Alpine 9847. any input would be appreciated. thanks.

"I was wondering if I ran the amp through the passive crossovers and not connecting it directly through the speakers"

Now thats one illigit sentence. Maybe you'd like to clarify that?

the speaker wire should run through the passive crossovers first and not be directly connected to the speaker like a normal speaker correct?

If you have multiple amps, get a distribution block. Run 0-2 guage from batt to d block, and then 4 guage from d block to amps.

you wire the amplifier to the crossover modules, and the speakers to the crossover modules.
the crossover will split the power between the speakers connected to the amplifier for you.
