I'll tell you this, as I don't know that much about that amp, but most of the memebers here are going to tell you that MA Audio is not that good, sorry!

alright thanks, but would it be ok for a first real system, to power 2 mtx subs? the rms on the amp is 800 @ 2ohms which is what my subs would be wired at. they require 250-500 rms. would that amp work and last for a while?

first system, last system, mother's system.. if it sucks, it sucks.
what makes you think being your first amplifier would make it suck any less than if it was your fifth amplifier?

i just dont have a lot of money, and if it was ok. i know most of you guys are used to expencive stuff that is top of the line and the best of the best, where i am looking for something cheap and alright, nothing amazing, nothing that will blow out the windows and be heard 5 miles away.

look at JBL or Cadence.
Hifonics is ok for what you're describing as well.. at least it's pretty reliable
