Question about 1 channel amp

I have a hifonics brutus 605 amp that is stable at 1 ohm... I have my sub wired to 1 ohm. I have everything hooked up and it works fine but I was wondering why there are 2 positive and 2 negative places on the amp for speaker wire if its only a 1 channel amp? I just have 1 neg and 1 pos running to my sub. Can I connect them or something to get more power?? Sorry about the stupid question.

That is just for more wiring options.

the extra contacts on the amp are for wiring two subs to the amp. if you used them it would be the same as running your subs in parallel..
