How do i hook up 2 batteries in my suv

i was needing to know how to hook up to batteries in my truck so that i can have more power to my amp can anybody help? if so email me at

Bad idea unless you're running your system while the car is off all the time.

You won't even check back apparently, so why should we care?

i do check back i do work ya know...and why is it a bad idea to run 2 batteries? i see it all the time im curently running a autotek mean machien it has 3 power 3 ground hook ups its a 2 channel amp it draws so much power when i turn it up it will make my suv die even while driveing

as of now i can only turn the amp up 1/4 the way im running 0gauge wire but have yet to get a cap the lcs place said to run 2 batteries but they wanted to charge me 75 to do it and i suplie the batterie wich is ok cause i have a marine bat waiting to hook up

a second battery only helps if the engine is off.
you'll need a dedicated deep cycle RG battery like an optima yellow top.
you'll need heavy gauge cable
you'll need a battery isolator

if you want more current for amplifiers when the engine is running, you'll ned a larger alternator for your car.. That's the straight shot there, no BS.
capacitors won't help, and the above solution is the only one that'll solve the problem properly
