Sort of a question about ohms here,

If the orion 1200d says it pushes 1200 watts at 1ohm, 775 at 2ohms, and you have a dual 2ohm subwoofer, would you be getting 1200 watts to your sub, or 775, or what?

you have to look at rms watts if it says it a 1200 watt amp then that just means that it has a peak power of 1200 watts but may have a rms watt (which is how many watts the amp wiil put on constanty)

Ex 1200 watt amp
200 watt rms x2 @ 4 ohms
500 watt rms x1 @ 4 ohms
250 watt rms x2 @ 6 ohms

Provided that is rms power, if you wire your sub Parallel to get 1 ohm, then you will be able to run the amp at 1 ohm or 1200 watts.
