I have a Hifonics brutus 1000d amp running a 12" IDMAX sealed. The sub is awesome, but the amp has recently started giving me problems. when i turn the volume up to how i always listen to the amp cuts off on high bass level songs, but it doesnt come back on when i lower the volume; it turns on after some days and then the samething again. also if i hit some bumps on the road its stops working.
I would use this although i know its not all that if it doesnt have a problem, but would like to know other amps with around $400 budget. i know jl/zapcos are the best but dont have that much.

All inputs greatly appreciated.

thanks

in a sealed enclosure, i would run an arc audio 2500-XXK bridged. you can pick those up for around 450 - 500. that is one of the best amps for a sub because it has like a 2000W damping factor.

that is a very nice amp but he doesnt need that kind of power. Is your sub dual 2ohm or dual 4ohm?
