Cassette stuck in car stereo

My cassette has stuck in the tape slot of car stereo. I guess I Didn't insert the cassette correctly. This is a Passat VW car. Is there a way to remove the cassette without damaging the setero (I don't care about the cassette)? Thanks in advance.

Try to get some needle nosed pliers in there, if when you pull on the tape you feel a lot of resistance, stop. I used a boby pin one time on a stuck CD, it just takes patients (yea i know i spelled it wrong). IF all else fails take it to a car stereo palace, or go spend $100 on a new cd, or tape if you really need a tape, player

Both of you just take the whole unit out and take it apart, get the tape out then reassmeble it. It won't be a walk in the park but i can't think of any other way.
