I have a power acoustik 980 watt amp, i am presently running two rf p212s4 subs on it. They are parallel bridged and it is bridged down to two ohms. I was curious if i purchased 2 more p2's wired them in series parallel (causing the amp to see a 4 ohm resistance) would this be enough power for the subs or would i be better off sticking with what i have. Any suggestions? Thanks

Can you give the sub/amp specs?

sorry it took me so long to answer i am at the library- anyway the subs are rated at 200 watts rms. The amp is 280 watts per channel at 2 ohms at 4 ohms it is 260. I don't know if this will alter your suggestion but the two subs hit very hard, also the amp is only half way turned up( when i turn the amp up all the way the subs sound like they are bottoming out. I don't know if this is because of the amp being cheap or if the subs are just not able to handle the power. So i am thinking with four subs bridged series parallel i will be able to turn my amp up.
