Alpine mrd-m500/1 with sufficient for 2 10" type-r's?

i'm looking for some advice about my plan for my system. i was thinking about a 500W or the new 550W alpine amp driving 2 10" type-r subs. I know the power match is 100/50W short of ideal, but i don't listen to too much bass-intensive music. These would be installed in either a q logic type 1 sealed box or the type 2 "convertible" box. Any advice or opinions are greatly appreciated.
i would reccomend a JBL BP600.1 for two type-r's, it will probably be less than that alpine amp and its an awesome amp...if i were you, i would build a sealed box to the specs of alpine's type-r's, prefab boxes arent usually a good choice
