hey i just bought a mtx thunder 7500 sub an runnign it off my jl audio e1800d amp i am runnign it at 8 ohms but i know it will be louder at 2 ohms..... my amp pushes 800 rsm at 2 phms and thesub can only take 400 max so what doi do so that i dont blow my sub?
If that sub is 4ohms DVC, then you can run it at 8ohms or 2ohms. If you decide to use 2ohms, then make sure the gain/level is set correctly first. Then use self control with the volume knob.
