hey guys I just purchased and MA audio HK2000d amp with an rms of 750 at 4 ohms. I am going to be powering a 12'' alpine type x of 1000 watt rms and I have 4 gauge amp kit im pretty sure that it will work because of hte rms being 750 and 4 gauge being able to to hadle 1000 so i was wondering if that would be ok, and if it will still hit hard even though im not maxing out hte rms thanks

I think you need wire bigger than 4 gauge. That amp has four 40 amp fuses. If your hot wire is over 10 feet long I would go bigger than 4 gauge.
