i am setting up my first car audio system.. so i am a totla newb.. i've got 2 10" JL 10w3's with 4 ohm dual voice coils.. their combined rms rating is 500 watts.... i want to know if an AudioBahn A8002T amp could work.. if i bridge the two channels on the amp it should give me
1 x 800 rms @ 4 ohms .... will 800 watts rms blow my 500 watt rms jl subs??? os is it ok...

more then likely since it is sending 800 rms to each sub not 400 to one and 400 to the other. i would just hook one sub to one channel then the other to the other.

If you wire both subs at 4 ohms and bridge the amp or wire each sub at 2 ohms and hook one to each channel you will get the same thing. You subs are 250 RMS each and will be getting 400 RMS each but being that they are JL subs it might not blow them. That amp is Class AB with two 30 amp fuses. 60x13.5=810 at 100% and no amp is 100%. At 60% you looking 500 RMS so I think it will work.
