i am buying a 12" Atlas and need an amp that will run it nicely. i have $200 and the subs rms is around 250 rms. i already have been recommended PPI art series, but what other amps would be good.

Isn't this like the third or fourth thread where you've asked this question? I don't think many more suggestions will help you make a decision.

Just pick one that suits your budget. If that doesn't help pick one that looks nice. I still think you ought to look into a 600w monoblock that produces 300w at 4 ohm(600 @ 2)or a 2 channel that could double as good mid/high amp. That way you're set if you ever want to upgrade.

Its not like there's just one $200, 300 watt amp out there thats definitively better than all the others.

They are 300w RMS / 900w peak @ 2ohm.

Class A/B amp
>200 dampening factor

and a builtin Butterworth crossover.

you can get them all day NIB for around 100$ as discontinued model

PG refers to Phoenix Gold right. are these amps pretty good for the money? Class D amps are the best to go for right?
