Taurus alt. Please Help

I am going to be installing an Audiobahn A8000T amp in my 2000 ford taurus and I have a couple questions about that. The first question is does anyone know how many watts that amp is? Cause I know it's 800, but is that peak, or rms power? Also can my taurus alternator support that amp with a capacitor? Cause I don't want to buy that amp if it will just kill my alternator. I was told that my car could handle it cause, in my friends boniville he has one that sise, but I would like some professional oppinions!!! Thanks a lot....

You amp puts out
400 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms
800 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms
requires 4-gauge power and ground leads
two 30-amp fuses
THD at Rated RMS Power" 0.02%
Input Voltage"12.5v
Why is all this good. Because the RMS was at THD of 0.02% with 12.5v. So at a THD of 0.5% at say 13.5 V it should do around 950 rms at 2 ohms. THD of 0.5% sounds ok and is well below clipping.
As for the capacitor you can get it if you want to but I don't think you need it.
