Taurus alt, Please help!!!

I have a 2000 ford Taurus LX, and I am planning on putting in an audio system and a need a little help. I recently bought a pair of 10 inch planet audio subs with a box for 60 bucks!!! I belive the subs are 150 watts rms, so if I'm not mistaking than that would mean I should get a 600 watt peak amp for the two right??? If so than I was wondering if my car alternator can support a 600 watt peak amp? I have no other accessories or any other amps besides this one. I was also wondering what would be a good cheap amp for my subs, if you have any suggestions? I need a 600 watt peak amp that can be played at high volumes for a long period of time and not overheat, while spending as little as possible without buying garbage. I would really appreciate as many oppinons as possible. Thanks a lot............

You should register first.
Are your subs 150 rms each or total? You don't need 600w peak amp. Depending on your sub, 150w rms or 300w rms amp will do just fine.
Depending on your stock alternator size, if it's 75A, then you shouldn't have any problem with 150w amp. You might even be okay with 300w amp.
For cheap amps, look at Audiobahn's A8002T or A8000T amp. They start around $130.
MTX is a bit more costly but still a good choice.
Stay away from Sony, Pyle, Lanzar, Pyramid and few other no name brands. They are total waste of money.
