I just bought an IDQ 10" V.3 D2 and a SoundstreamEGA1000.4X I was advised to get the dual 2 ohm sub so I could wire it to 4 ohms. Can anyone explain to me how to do that? Also when buying speaker wire, should buy any certain kind? Thanks for your help in adavance, David.

to get 4 ohms you need 4 ohm subs... so buy those. after you buy them just wire them parellel in the box and series from the amp to the box or visa versa. you wnat to stick with 16 Guage speaker wire or bigger.( bigger is not always better) decide by the amount of watts your running. any more questions?

Would it be okay to just bridge the amp to the sub, or would that screw something up? Thanks for your reply.

I don't want anything super fancy. I just want to enjoy my music. I have an Alpine CDA9813, a set of Perfect6.1's an ID sub and the EGA1000.4X. How do you recommend I set it up? Also do you know anything how to hook up an MP3 player to the auxillary of a cd deck? Thanks again.
