How could I find out how many amps my alternator puts out? Or if anyone knows, My car is a 1991 Escort GT.

My current setup is

Eclipse CD3404 HU
Pioneer TS-A1680R 6.5
Pioneer TS-A6970R 6x9
MTX 311D Mono
12" Alpine Type R
12" Orion Cobalt CS12D

Everything now runs fine and nothing dims or anything but I was just wondering how much I could upgrade to untill my alt starts haveing probs.

Call auto zone. They can look on their computer and tell you how many amps it is.

Damn, that sucks. Guess I'm pretty much limited on what I get then. 65 Amps could handle how many watts? Is it 650w? Forgot how it goes.

Not really, those original 65 amps are for the original car equipment, lights , radio, electronics, etc. You can go to a HO alternator only that is not adirect replcement. You will need some modifications in brackets and harness.
