Does anyone know what the actual technical name for those little things are? I assume they could also be bought in sheets to be cut to a desired size. Please help?

dynamat is for absorbing sound, right?
not that stuff, just little, thin pieces of foam for protecting things from scratches and stuff, like behind a speaker bracket or something.

It will not make much of a difference, as the pad will not add much weight. It is the added weight that stops the rattling of panels.
