Hi all

I just bought a:

kenwood KFC-W3009 subwoofer that has
800w peak power
200w rated input power
400w max input power

and a Sound storm Strecth daddy d400.2 2 channel amp with:

800w max output power
RMS w/ch @4 ohms 200 x 2
max power 400 x 2 max

How do i connect the subwoofer to the amp?
Can i just plug it into 1 channel?

depends on the coil setup of the sub you got.
single or dual coil? how many ohms per coil?
does that amp support bridged mode?
(by the way, soundstorm isn't a very good brand. if you've got a bit more money you may want to return it and buy something more reliable)

single coil 4 ohms

the amp runs at 2 ohms stable

the amp does support bridge mode but at 1 x 800w

and i know soundstorm isn't a very good brand. I bought a cheap one just to power my sub. I have a full kenwood system and later will add a kenwood amp for quality.

Hi everyone!I have the similar question so I didn't want to create a new topic.I'm going to have Audiobahn AW1251t 12" 800w peak sub and Sony Xm 504z 500w amp.Sub has dual 4 ohm voice coil and amp is 4 chanel, can be bridged.I don't wont to burn anything :-) so if you could help me with proper connection:-)Thanks
PS:For now the amp would power only the sub
