i'm planning on getting a kicker comp 12 dvc @ 4 ohms...any feed back on what you've heard about them would be great. Also, will a sealed box at 1.25 internal volume be a good match? Last...what amount of power will i need for this sub to work at it's peak?
newb, if you're talking about comp series subs, I haven't heard too much about them, but i think you're better off spending extra $40 and getting the comp vr's, which sound great...the guy next door has them in a bandpass box.
the comps are the entry level subs, below the CVRs. for about the same price I believe you could get an RE sub (entry level model) as another alternative. either is a good sub, but don't expect supreme performance from a $50 subwoofer.. they are low excursion, low power subs.
i have the CVRs, there not hooked up in my car currently but from what ive heard from hookin them up in different friends cars, there awsome for entry level.
