I have a 2 channel amp rated at 750 RMS. The subs I am looking at are both rated 400 RMS and 800 peak. The SVC are 4 ohm ane the DVC are 2 ohm. I want to get the most power out of my amp so I will be wiring the subs at 2 ohm. In this case, which is the better sub to get and which is the best overall?

you could go with eiter svc or dvc on this one because your ohms match, when you wire to svc's 4 ohms parralell you get a 2 ohm load. on the other hand the dvc 2 ohm in a series are also a two ohm load. the dvc are a little bit more versatile so you could go with a higher rms or a lower price

You wire coils pos to pos & neg to neg then to the amp.

So you basically connect the subs together first and then hook them to amp? What about if I only have one speaker? And what is wiring in series?

Wiring in series you connect pos to neg and depending on the sub type and ohm load you wish to accomplish would determine how you do this in conjunction with a parallel connection to the amp.

What would your "one speaker" be? DVC, or SVC? 2 or 4 ohm?

if u only have one sub then u can bridge the amp into it. Connect the sub to the L - and the R + on your amp.

But would that put the entire 750 into that speaker?
